“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”

Man has greatly increased in knowledge and has become very sophisticated than he was two millennia ago. The advancement in knowledge has resulted in building very complicated societies where God is an impossible resident. There have been many exploits, discoveries, and inventions that have excited the pride of many men. It is therefore not surprising that men think they have the solution to every problem in the universe. Many also have made a mockery of the God factor of life, despising the gospel we preach.

Within the academic class, many also believe that science explains every mystery. God and the creation story sounds foolish to many who have greatly pursued carnal knowledge. The death and the resurrection of Christ do not make sense to so many people. Jesus being the only way to God makes no sense to the world either. Heaven and hell are just another religious myth to the world. The rebirth of those who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ sounds more stupid to the world. Many of the spiritual principles in the bible make proud men laugh.

The prophet Isaiah wrote:

^“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?”_______ Isaiah 53:1

Jesus is a revelation in the heart of the believer. Salvation and eternal life is a revelation in the heart of the believer. We cannot understand the gospel through a scientific process. It is spiritual and until a man is born of the Spirit everything will make no sense. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”____ John 3:6  The gospel is spiritually discerned. 

Many haven’t believed because the preaching of the gospel is foolishness to them as the apostle said: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God” ________1 Corinthians 1:18.  

The attitude of the world towards the preaching of the gospel was prophesied long ago. It is foolishness to them who are perishing. Men have been programmed to decay and men are decaying. The only thing a carnal man agrees with you concerning the preaching of the gospel is that the life he has now is transient because that cannot be denied. What they hate to hear is that there is eternal life after this life and it is only for those who have believed in the Lord Jesus.

We believe this gospel because only Jesus could boldly say: “I am the resurrection and the life” __ John 11:25, “I am the way the truth and the life”____ John 14:6, “He that believeth in me shall never die”___ John 11:26. This is our faith. No man spoke like Jesus and his life was not an ordinary life at all. He died in the flesh and was resurrected on the third day, proof that he is the giver of life. He ascended into heaven in front of over a hundred and twenty witnesses. The testimony is solid and has withstood many adversaries for hundreds of years.

They have tried to dispute it but the more they did, the bigger the gospel grew and the farther it spread. The bible is self-protective; God has preserved the sacred words for our repentance and salvation for many years. The gospel is true, have no doubts about your salvation in Christ Jesus.

Do not succumb to knowledge that contradicts the word of God. Do not fall to arguments that deny the existence of God.

^“Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels”______ 2 Timothy 2:23

The world is ignorant of God. They do not know him and are not ready to know him so stay away from their controversies and guard your faith in Christ Jesus. Do not be ashamed of the gospel, be proud of your salvation. Preach the gospel and manifest its power. Proclaim the name of JESUS!
